Bands are given the opportunity to perform at a college venue and receive hands-on musical tutelage from educators from all around Southern California. In addition to performance and collaboration, bands are presented with a variety of rhythm, performance, and improvisation clinics. The event closes with a performance by a selected honor band, with students being invited to perform with Vanguard’s own University Jazz Ensemble.
